Morels have been found in Alabama and Georgia!!! WOO-HOO! Here's the official report.

Morels don't come into season here in the Pacific NW until at least mid April, probably even a little later than that (depending on exact elevation.) The first morels of the season are always found in the southern United States where daytime highs are already into the mid-sixties or warmer.

The BEST part of the morel forecast.....the Pacific NW is expected to have a BANNER morel season! We will be scouting burn sites along the Wenatchee/Omak corridor later this month. Stay tuned for further updates.

Note the date and time on the receipt. Morel season has begun!
