And NOW the fun begins....

So I don’t know about you but this snow CERTAINLY has me ready for the spring and beautiful fruiting morel mushrooms.  Actually, the snow has me wishing that there IS no snow, but sometimes you just have to grin and bear it.
As a thank you to my readers who spend their valuable time learning about my endeavors, I will keep my entries brief and entertaining.   Hopefully this will create a dialogue and open up social and business opportunities.
This week I have spent most of my time making cold calls. That’s right, everyone’s favorite L However, thanks to Microsoft One Note (a program included in Microsoft Office) it has actually made the process fun!!! And,  I have certainly developed some hot leads!!!!  My main goal is to introduce myself to the community as THE new Spokane Public Market wild mushroom and huckleberry vendor and to determine if my goods would be of interest to them.  Thus far it’s either “We’d love to do business” or “No, our menus are set in stone.” It gets discouraging hearing no, after no, after no, but Jill has taught me well. Short-term memory can be good. Forget about it and move on to the next call. In fact I caught myself doing that while making calls and every no is one step closer to a YES!…….so keep on truckin!!!
In order of business, in case you don’t know, Gourmet Foragables is taking advanced orders for morel mushrooms. Prices are yet to be determined (as the supply is yet unknown) but those who agree to buy a pound or more will receive a free quarter pound of mushrooms on top of their order. Something to mull around the old noggin….
And a special shout out to my man Roman. Thanks for the tech help. Much appreciated.
I’d love to hear your feedback and may God bless you and your families.

  1. Welcome to the Spokane Public Market...great example of social media, btw...I'm not part of the Operations Cmte at the Market, but handle some of their social media. Did a social mention search on SPM to see hits and BAM up your blog jumped, as well as your tweet AND your FB post. Good move.

Excited to have access to 'shrooms & hucks at the Public Market.
